We are a dynamic City & Guilds training centre based in Nottingham, East Midlands. Our strong team has a wealth of knowledge and expertise in the electrical industry, education and training and customer service. 

Our focus is on delivering the core electrical qualifications alongside the latest electrical technologies, including renewables, energy storage systems, smart home technologies and automation.

We are also a member of the East Midland Chamber.  

Meet our team

Lucy Kirkby

Centre manager
Lucy has worked in the training industry since February 2010, including 5 years as a Centre Manager for a training provider. During the 15 years prior to that, her background studying Print Management at Nottingham Trent and roles working in Account Management, Customer Services and Business Administration have given her the essential skills to guide and support learners whilst also ensuring full compliance with the Awarding Bodies.  
She holds her TAQA Assessors qualification and an Advance Level Apprenticeship in Business Administration. 

Mrinal Kumar

Business Development DIRECTOR
Mrinal has over 15 years of experience in developing and managing successful customer oriented businesses, including 6 years with electrical training business. As well as holding the electrical qualifications, he is also a qualified Assessor, and this gives him an excellent understanding of the student's journey and, therefore, how best to support them. Using his extensive business knowledge, he is committed to providing groundbreaking training provision with a focus on the future of the skills development industry.

RICHARD WATKINSONS

ASSESSOR / TRAINER
After 9 years in the RAF as an Avionics and Electrical Engineer travelling the world servicing Harriers and Tornados, Richard started his very successful Electrical business in 2008. As a self employed electrical contractor working on domestic, commercial and industrial installations, he has a wealth of experience and knowledge which has allowed him to become a respected tutor and assessor. Having over 15 years of hands on experience working in the trade, Richard can easily relate to his students and his reputation and excellent feedback bears witness to this.

Kristaps Piesis

ASSESSOR / Trainer
Kris spent 4 years with Siemens completing an Advanced Apprenticeship and HNC in Electrical and Electronic Engineering. More recently, he has been working as a self-employed electrician and has gained experience in domestic and commercial electrical installation. Kris specialises in testing installations and the Students all benefit from his friendly and patient nature. He always goes above and beyond to deliver the qualifications to a high standard and gives additional time and help to all.

Magda Wyrobek

Student Support / Invigilator
Magda recently graduated with a 2:1 in Accounting and Finance from Nottingham Trent University. During her undergraduate years, she worked for a training provider in Nottingham, acquiring a wealth of knowledge and experience. She is currently pursuing her Masters in Finance alongside her role with us. With her friendly nature and can-do attitude, Magda is undoubtedly a valuable asset to our team.

Martins Svilans

Workshop Technician
Martins successfully achieved his City & Guilds 2365 Level 2 Diploma at Boston College. He is now furthering his studies, pursuing the City & Guilds 2365 Level 3 in electrical installations, while working as a trainee electrician. With a keen eye for detail, he ensures that our workshop and assessment rooms are maintained to the highest standards.

Kerry Roberts

Trainee Assessor
Kerry dedicated 13 years to the Royal Corps of Signals in the British Army, where she travelled globally, deploying and managing telecommunications systems. She concluded her military service as a senior instructor at the Royal School of Signals. Transitioning to civilian roles, Kerry provided pivotal services in Iraq and Afghanistan for both the Ministry of Defence and NATO. In the corporate sector, she's held significant roles at Vodafone and Daisy Corporate Services. Deeply passionate about Electrical Installation, Kerry has acquired her 2365 Level 2 & 3 diplomas and is actively working towards her TAQA assessors award.
