Frequently Asked Questions
How do I become a qualified electrician?
The typical pathway starts with the Level 2 2365 Diploma in Electrical Installations, followed by the Level 3 2365 Diploma, then the NVQ Level 3 (2357) for on-site competence. You also need the 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (2382) and must pass the AM2 assessment to achieve JIB Gold Card status and work independently.
What qualifications do I need to start electrical training?
No prior electrical experience or formal qualifications are required. Our courses are designed for complete beginners and career changers alike. Basic numeracy and literacy are helpful, but our tutors will support you from day one.
Do you offer payment plans for courses?
Yes. We offer flexible monthly payment plans on all courses, letting you spread the cost over 3–12 months. We also accept full upfront payment, employer-sponsored payments, and ELCAS funding for military personnel.
Where is your training centre located?
Our fully-equipped training centre is in Arnold, Nottingham (NG5 7ER), with dedicated practical workshops and real-world electrical installations. The centre is easily accessible from Derby, Leicester, Sheffield, Birmingham, and Leeds.
Are your courses City & Guilds accredited?
Yes. We are an approved City & Guilds centre (Centre No. 009512) and all our electrical qualifications are City & Guilds accredited. We are also JIB-approved, meaning our courses are recognised across the industry for employment and registration purposes.
