Do I have to complete the EWA by 1 October 2026?
No. The claim circulating from some providers that the EWA must be completed by 1 October 2026 is false — TESP has confirmed no such deadline exists. The EWA remains a valid route to the ECS Gold Card.
Does the 18th Edition count as my Level 2 technical qualification?
No. The 18th Edition (2382), Inspection & Testing (2391) and Part P (2393-10) explicitly do not meet the underpinning technical certificate requirement. You need a qualification from Tables A–C of the Skills Scan, such as the 2365 Level 2/3 Diploma or an EAL equivalent.
What else do I need for the ECS Gold Card?
The full Gold Card stack is the C&G 2346-03 EWA, the 18th Edition (2382-26), Inspection & Testing (2391-52) and the AM2E assessment at a NET centre. On the Domestic route the equivalents are the 2347 EWA and AM2ED.
